2012 Classes

Wednesdays:

• Divorce Care & Divorce Care 4 Kids
  • Wednesday evening, August 8th at 6:15 pm. There is a workbook fee will begin the 13-week support groups Divorce Care and Divorce Care 4 Kids. Steve Shadix will facilitate Divorce Care and Cheryl Cannon will facilitate the support group for children ages 5-12. DC4K combines video, games, crafts and activities to create a warm, caring environment for children of divorce. Divorce Care will cover What's Happening to Me?, The Road to Healing/Finding Help, Facing My Anger, Facing My Depression, Facing My Loneliness, What Does the Owner’s Manual Say?, New Relationships, Financial Survival, KidCare, Single Sexuality, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Moving On and Growing Closer to God. Workbooks will be available for both groups. Brochures are available in the foyer. Divorce Care meets in room B-216. Divorce Care 4 Kids meets in room B-124.
  • Financial Peace University
    • A 9-week series led by Dave Ramsey on DVD that focuses on solid financial principles of common-sense money management. Begins Wednesday, August 8th, 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm in room 2222 of the FLC. Attend the first session FREE to get acquainted with the 9 week content. Lifetime membership and kits are available for $99.00. Dan Hall will facilitate the group. Brochures available in the foyer.
  • First Place
    • A 12-week Christ centered weight management, inspirational and motivational plan. 6:15 pm in room B-128 with Renee Burns facilitating. Cost is determined on previous participation. Contact Renee Burns for additional information at 770-833-3176.
  • GriefShare
    • A 13-week DVD and interactive group that features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. This support experience is for those that have experienced loss due to death. Workbooks: $15.00 Childcare and Children’s activities are provided

Sundays:

• Sunday School on Sunday Night
  • David and Sandy Latham will continue to lead a Sunday School class on Sunday evenings beginning January 8th, at 5:30 pm in room B-203 for anyone that is working and serving during the morning Bible Study/Sunday School times. This will provide an opportunity for everyone to participate in a group that is reading and studying the Bible chronologically. You can use your own Bible and Reading the Bible for Life study book or you can purchase a Reading God’s Story A Chronological Daily Bible for $10.00.
