Central's Singles

 

Today, while many men and women are choosing to wait longer before marrying, others are finding themselves suddenly single again through divorce or death of a spouse. Recognizing the unique needs of single adults, Central Baptist Church has made its Single Adult Ministry a priority within our community. We are not half of a couple. We are single, whole people, loved by Jesus. We realize that our church can have a vital ministry with this segment of our adult society.

Our single adult ministry reaches out to a segment of our population that is growing, but often overlooked by churches. Thirty eight percent of the adult population in Douglas County is single. We want to create an environment for single adults to be connected with God and his family, and to experience the abundant life through Jesus Christ. Our desire is that singles adults not be merely attached to the Central Baptist church body but that they become an integral part. Our goal is to integrate members into the workings of the church life, through ministries, outreach, missions, or some other active part of the church. Many of our single adults are using their spiritual gifts to teach in other areas of Sunday School, are active in our choir and serve in many other areas of the church. Many singles are parents and their children also enjoy the rich variety of ministry and opportunities that are offered at Central Baptist.

Become involved in our Single Adult Ministry and discover other Christians, like you, who are strengthening their relationship with God and enjoying the fellowship and ministry of others here at Central Baptist. We grow in God’s word learning the joy of living in his grace as we go out into the world to share the love of Christ with others. It’s through worship, bible study, service project, outreach, and fellowship, that we offer a variety of opportunities for single adults to become a part of Central Baptist Church.

Spiritual growth is essential in every person’s life. Our single adult Bible study classes meet each Sunday morning at 8:45 AM and 10:15 AM.

A ministry designed to meet the needs of single adult ages 35 and up.

Collage and Career Class, Family Life Center , Room 3303 at 10:15 AM

A ministry meeting the needs of young adult ages 18 – 23.

The Power of Christ, Building C, 10:15 AM

A ministry designed to meet those with special needs.

All Ladies classes are offered at both hours for ladies whether married or single.
