Our Purpose
The PURPOSE of the Senior Adult Ministry is to encourage Senior Adults to love Jesus with their total being throughout life.
The Senior Adult Ministry at Central Baptist Church grows from this instruction: "Loving the Lord with ALL of our heart, soul, strength and mind" (Luke 10:27)
- LOVING = we define "love" by looking to the cross.
- THE LORD = ruler of the domain we call our life.
- WITH ALL = everything we are, have and hope to be.>
- HEART = physical life (FELLOWSHIP).
- SOUL = breath, feelings, desires and affection (SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT).
- MIND = understanding (DISCIPLESHIP).
- STRENTGH = ability, force. MIght (MINISTRY AND MISSIONS).
Because of this instruction

- PURPOSE = the major target or destinations toward which the Senior Adult Ministry is moving.
- LOVE JESUS = a matter of the heart but also of the hands and head.
- TOTAL BEING = using every Spiritual Gift that the Lord has given.
- THROUGHOUT LIFE = every Senior should use every Spiritual Gift every day of their life.
We will seek to accomplish the Senior Adult Ministry PURPOSE through 5 GOALS
FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES to promote interaction among Senior Adults.
SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES to express love for Christ through praise and worship.
DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS that provide ways to help believers live more like Jesus.
MINISTRY / MISSION PROJECTS to open doors of service to share the love of Christ.
INFORMATIVE COMMUNICATION that will share with every Senior Adult the activities of the Senior Adult Ministry.
